Chevrolet heeft de derde generatie Montana gelanceerd. De Chevrolet Montana is een sinds 2003 in Brazilië gebouwde compacte pick-up. De huidige, tweede generatie Chevrolet Montana werd in 2010 gelanceerd. Deze kleine pick-up is afgeleid van de Agile hatchback en heeft nog het platform van de Corsa B, waar de eerste generatie het modernere platform van de Corsa C had.

De nieuwe Montana heeft het modernere GEM (Global Emerging Markets) platform van de Chevrolet Onix, Chevrolet Tracker, Buick Encore en Buick Excelle.

De nieuwe 4-deurs pick-up is 4.72 meter lang. Daarmee is de auto bijna 20 cm kleiner dan de Fiat Toro, maar bijna 25 cm langer dan de kleinere Fiat Strada. Een andere concurrent is de Renault Duster Oroch, een pick-up op basis van de eerste generatie Duster.

De Montana is altijd voorzien van een 133 pk sterke 1.2 3-cilinder turbobenzinemotor met 98 kW/133 pk.

If your use is more urban or as an SUV with a truck bed, the Montana Premier serves you well and costs less than the Toro Freedom. On the other hand, if your budget (or negotiating power) allows you to pay the extra amount, the Toro is more refined, larger, better built for heavier use and with greater bucket capacity. Here, the Montana Premier's advantage was not as large as against the Renault Oroch and could even create a good deal of doubt in the buyer, depending on the profile.

Synthesizing the arguments we raised, the Fiat pickup is the one that best performs the pickup function, with greater commitment to utilitarian application. For this reason and because of the price difference that is not so high as to make it unfeasible (at least compared to Montana, as neither are cheap), this is our choice.

Having put these characteristics on the table, it is very clear that the Montana Premier is a more interesting choice for those who enjoy the look more than the characteristics of a typical pickup truck.
Well equipped and with behavior closer to that of a passenger car, the top-of-the-line version of Chevrolet's pickup is a more interesting choice if you rarely drive with heavy loads in the bed.
The Toro, especially in this entry-level Endurance version, is a more interesting option for those who are willing to give up a more extensive list of equipment, in exchange for a driving experience a little closer to that of medium pickup trucks and a mechanical set with more power and torque.
