Deze 7e generatie zou eerder komen maar vanwege schandalen werd ie uitgesteld. Dit is de huidige generatie.

On May 12, Daihatsu Motor announced that it will release a new light passenger vehicle, the "MOVE," in June, and released information about the new Move on its official website.

Since its launch in 1995, the Move has been a pioneering car that has continued to evolve the universal elements required for a minicar, such as low fuel consumption, low price, basic performance, and advanced equipment, paving the way for the next generation. Cumulative sales have exceeded 3.4 million units (as of the end of March 2025). With this full model change, in addition to a stylish design, the adoption of sliding doors and other features have greatly improved convenience, making the car more comfortable to use in any situation, from everyday use to long trips.

The grades available for 2WD and 4WD are "L", "X", "G" and "RS", with only the RS being a turbo model.
In addition, an advance purchase campaign will be held from May 12th to June 8th in which original sunshades will be given away as gifts.
