本田技研工業は8月3日、2023年秋発売予定の新型「N-BOX（エヌボックス）」に関する情報を特設サイトで公開。同時に8月より先行予約の受け付けを開始すると発表した。

2011年12月のデビュー以来、軽四輪車新車販売台数ランキングにおいて、2014年度（および2011年度）を除きトップの座に君臨し続けているホンダ「N-BOX」。2代目となる現行モデルは2017年に発売されているが、モデル末期となる2023年上半期においても、その座を明け渡すことはなく好調な販売が続いている。そして2023年秋、いよいよ3代目となる新型がデビューすることになった。これまで、Nシリーズ（N-WGN、N-ONE、N-VAN）のモデルチェンジはN-BOXが先陣を切るのが通例となっており、今回もそれを踏襲した格好となる。

2011年12月にホンダ「N BOX」がデビューして以来、強い個性と存在感を持たせたバリエーションモデルとして設定されているのが「N BOX カスタム」だ。2017年に登場した2代目からは「N-BOX」および「N-BOX Custom」にモデル名が改められ、この秋に登場する3代目モデルでは「N-BOX CUSTOM」と大文字表記に改められることになった。もっとも、クルマのキャラクターが持つ方向性は従来通りだ。なお、N-BOXと同じく価格やスペックなど詳細は非公表となっている。そのあたりは今後の発表を待ちたい。

Ik vind die basisuitvoeringen er juist wat ouderwetser uit zien dan eerst.

Ik vind het ook geen vooruitgang. Het oude ontwerp was strakker.

Niet mee eens. Nieuwe is juist meer clean met minder diepe lijnen en golvingen en strakkere derde zijruit, achterklep en achterlampen. maar goed, het is toch veel van hetzelfde. De eerste generatie (2011-2017) ziet er in grote lijnen ook zo uit:

Ik doelde eigenlijk meer op de voorkant met de configuratie van koplampen en grille, de verschillen aan de zij- en achterkant waren me nog niet eens zo opgevallen. Daar is hij vooral wat saaier geworden. Waarbij meteen aangetekend dat ik strak en saai dus niet altijd hetzelfde vind.

　ベストセラー、ホンダNシリーズの嚆矢「N-BOX」がモデルチェンジを行なった。ユーザーから高い評価を得ているだけに「キープコンセプト」として、一見変化がないように見えるが、先代モデルのネガ部分を徹底的に改善した秀逸なモデルチェンジに仕上がっていた。

The N-BOX JOY was developed with the concept of "easy to use," "leisurely," and "enjoying time," targeting users who are attracted to "naturally active." The exterior is based on the theme of a "my- pace box," with special front and rear bumpers and garnishes that give it the feel of a tool that can be used casually. Meanwhile, the interior is based on the theme of "natural relaxation coordination," and features checkered seat upholstery. The luggage compartment has a special flat floor and the back of the seats are also covered with the same upholstery, creating a space where you can relax.

As mentioned above, the powertrain is available in two types: naturally aspirated and turbocharged. The specs have not been released, but they should be the same as other current models. The drive system is available in 2WD (FF) and 4WD. The custom turbo engine model is equipped with 15-inch tires, but both of these models have 14-inch (155/65R14) tires.

The body colors are two monotone colors, "Platinum White Pearl" and "Crystal Black Pearl," while the two-tone colors with a black roof are five two-tone colors, "Slate Gray Pearl," "Fjord Mist Pearl," " Autumn Yellow Pearl," "Botanical Green Pearl," and "Desert Beige Pearl."

Nシリーズのトップを切って2011年に発売されて以来、軽四輪車の新車販売台数ランキングにおいて、トップの座をほぼ独走し続けているのがホンダの「N-BOX」だ。3代目となる現行モデルは、これまでベースモデルのN-BOX（標準車）と、スポーティで存在感のあるデザインを採用する「N-BOX CUSTOM（カスタム）」の2モデル構成だったが、第3のモデルとして「N-BOX JOY（ジョイ）」が登場する。なお、詳細なスペックや装備などは取材時点では未公表。正式な発表をお待ちいただきたい。
