Well done Nissan, na twee niet echt geslaagde pogingen gun ik het jullie dat het nu wel lukt. Aan het uiterlijk zal het niet - of in ieder geval mínder - liggen dan bij z'n voorgangers. Als de techniek en infotainment op orde is, het gewicht onder de 2 ton kan blijven, dan heb ik goede hoop.

Op de spy shots vond ik de Leaf er van de zijkant wat 'lullig' uitzien maar op deze foto's vind ik het echt een zeer geslaagde auto. Nissans designtaal vond ik sowieso al strak/modern en deze gaat nog een stapje verder. En heerlijk zo'n clean ontwerp

Mooie auto, jammer van het te verwachten trekgewicht. Als dat richting de 1300kilo kan dan kan deze auto zich onderscheiden in de klasse.

Praat ik overigens wel over mijn eigen wens mbt het trekgewicht. Budget 38k en 1300 kilo caravan.

De 4 horizontale LED's in het zwarte opzetstuk geven de Leading Environmentally-friendly Affordable Family car een iets bredere 'stance'. Het oogt wat verfijnder dat alleen plaatwerk. Dan oogt de kont net een vorige generatie Toyota, Honda, Nissan of Sandero. Voor beide geldt: aantrekkelijke EV in het C segment.

De designtaal an sich vind ik geslaagd; strak, herkenbaar als Nissan en weinig tierelantijdjes. Alleen beide achterlichten vind ik niet mooi. Lijkt wel een after thought. Auto is ook wat kort en hoog.

Die donkerrode ziet er op deze foto's erg goed uit wat mij betreft! Nogal gedrongen maar hier werkt t wel, ofzo. De zwarte balk met de achterlichten erin doen me een beetje denken aan de 300ZX. Geen idee of dat de opzet was maar zou niet raar zijn natuurlijk.

Update: Nissan told CarScoops that the initial renderings of the Leaf on the US configurator were incorrect, so we updated the story accordingly. The bottom line is that all 2026 Nissan Leaf trims will feature a black panel on the tailgate instead of a body colored finish. However, only the flagship Platinum+ gets the expanded “3D holographic” taillights with the Z-inspired LED graphics.

Doe mij maar de achterklep met deels zwart en 3D holografische achterlichten.

Deze auto is een schoolvoorbeeld van mislukt modern design; een log, opgezwollen gedrocht dat de ogen pijn doet. De zijkant is ronduit uit proportie. De daklijn zakt veel te abrupt naar achteren, waardoor de auto een onnatuurlijke, bultige uitstraling krijgt, De wielbasis lijkt te kort voor de totale lengte, waardoor de overhangen zowel voor als achter te groot zijn, wat de plompe indruk nog versterkt.

De voorkant en achterkant zijn al even teleurstellend. Nee, ik vind hem maar lelijk.

An sich vind ik het wel een leuke auto maar die achterkant vind ik in beide uitvoeringen echt lelijk.

The Nissan comes out of this test very well. It’s peachy to drive, with a bit more delicacy and involvement than the Kia, yet delivers a similar level of serenity and comfort. Its weakness chiefly concerns the more restricted passenger space, but otherwise it’s an oddly charming car.

It deserves to do well, not only because of its British-built status but also because it is a genuinely well-rounded and very capable electric crossover that has flashes of the ingenuity and creativity that Nissan is well known for. Is it the best here? Probably not.

While I would personally take the Nissan over the Kia (being able to tell everyone that my car has a purple interior is reason enough, surely), the EV4’s long, seven-year warranty and roomier cabin are hugely persuasive selling points.

But it is the Skoda that takes the win. It proved the most efficient of the three for real-world range, is the best to drive, is the most practical and remains a routinely brilliant all-rounder that few others in the class can compete with.
